the kitchen

A country-esque style kitchen with warm dark wood that was made to suit Camaran's tastes and needs as a person and a grandfather.

the bedroom

Talib's room had to show not only who he was in present day but who he was as a child. Which was described as a kid who loved to puzzles and automobiles. So adding those in the form of trinkets was the most effective way to quickly show his personality in a room you would only see for a few seconds on screen.

As well as sneaking in a few easter eggs like the island model and the painting on the walls being background in the film.
